About
Welcome to The World’s Greatest Blog. This blog has undergone wholesale changes since I created it in 2006:
- The name has changed a few times;
- The aims and objectives have been trimmed and re-jigged;
- Three authors have been added – myself, Linda Haywood and an occasional interjection from Martin Bayly, of channel 5 Blair Watch Project fame;
- Other things that I can’t remember
Essentially, we are writing about things from our point of view – as university educated, arguably deeply middle class, yet pretty conscientious, British 20-25 year olds.
Despite that seemingly self-important build up, my main focus has remained light-hearted, and any weighty subjects, when touched upon, are always approached with this in mind. No-one wants to read a complete rant, so we try to avoid them…
The site’s title is by no means arrogant, post-modern or ironic (at least not intentionally): I asked people to suggest a new title and I got few responses – The World’s Greatest Blog was the best one (many of them would probably have seen me in court (and not as a lawyer)).
If you are reading this, I wish you all the best, every success and happiness, and I urge you, if you feel in anyway aligned to, or opposed to any viewpoint expressed within these pages to leave a comment, or register with this blog, and, should you wish to, you can also use The World’s Greatest Blog as a platform to write intelligent (well loosely), thought out articles – o, rather – blog posts.
Enjoy.

Hey Rob,
Sorry for the out of the blue question? I was reading your post about the google adwords and was wondering how that ended? I appreciated the review and just wanted to know how that debate ended.
Thank you,
Ray
Hi Ray,
If you are referring to the Get Google ads free lunatic, then, as I suspected at the time, the person disappeared without any of the threatened action.
He or she did get progressively erratic though, and the comments were closed due to the fact that whoever it was tried to post about 15 comments with links to animal, and other, pornography for some strange reason.
I have no doubt that whoever started that comment was something to do with the site in question, but that they quickly realised they had bitten off more than they could chew with any legal argument. They were simply annoyed that someone had the audacity to post a true scam alert (as opposed to all the false ones which were, and still are, present on the net) which ranked quite highly in Google related searches.
That page is still getting hits every day, and, I would hope, the stuff that person said makes more lasting impression than anything which I said. Hopefully, their stupid attempt will do them more harm than good.
Dear Rob, I must admit, I almost spit out my coffee on my monitor reading your debate against the “So Called” Lawyer for the “google ads for free scammer.
It was hilarious watching this person “professionalism” dissapear with every post until he/she/it degraded itself to the form of typical video gaming forum troll.
Well Done!! And hats off to you making good, honest people aware of this useless scammer!
I have boomarked your site and will be a regular visitor!
Sincerely, Michael (Houston, Texas USA)
