Bridgewater -a home from home

This is Bridgewater, a small town in the Adelaide Hills and approximately 25 minutes by car from Adelaide. Until we leave for England, this is our new home. The whole area is reminiscent of the Yorkshire Dales except for the lack of oppressive weather. It has rained occasionally, but to the joy of locals who are in the midst of a drought. Efficient bus services shuttle from the dales to the city centre every 20 minutes. The community spirit is truly alive with signs on noticeboards inviting visitors to join the cricket team, tennis club and social scene. Bridgewater is dissected by the Heysen Trail, a beautiful walk spanning many kilometres across the Adelaide Hills and passing many wineries. The following photos are taken from the Heysen Trail.
