Every day for the last month or so, the British press has featured the Hilary vs Barack conetst in its top headlines. Not only is the coverage really, really boring but it is never put in context. The wider story of a build-up to a possible change of government features little. Any differences in policy are absent from the articles.

The whole complex and engaging process has been reduced to: White Woman vs Black Man. I thought there may be a bit more to it than that. There is: pointless looping coverage of footage which might be construed as bitchiness between the candidates. I’m interested in politics. I am not interested in the Clinton – Obama battle.
