Dog with Hat - and bonus Beard. Tremendous.

There are things in my life that I am hugely proud of. There are key events which have befallen me, both planned and unplanned, from which rich vein I shall be able to dredge happy anecdotes aplenty to see me well through my golden years, I’m sure. There are many projects I have begun and have in mind that, at least in theory, should result in helping to shape the future of human life on Earth in a beneficial manner, at least in some infinitisimal way.

And then, almost by accident, we delivered to the world what it always really wanted. We delivered a product so fine, and so utterly in tune with our social sensibilities that I could no longer bear for this growing trend to go unnoticed by the masses at large. Almost by accident, our Christmas photo competition over at Christmas.vg has turned into a quite marvelous repository of pictures of dogs and cats wearing hats.

Wonderful.

When I was growing up, there was one thing I always secretly hoped I could bring to the world, but never, for a moment, dared dream I would, on one distant day,achieve: I always admired those who had the panache to photograph a dog or cat wearing a hat and, if I couldn’t be the lucky mortal to take the picture, then at least I knew I could showcase them someplace special, someday.

And now we have done just that. And now, at last, my soul bursts with pride.

Could this be the peak of my fledgling publishing career?
