Increase Conversions with Footer Ad Bar Script

For a while now, I’ve been experimenting with designing and building a footer bar to fit across all of our websites – not dissimilar to the old menu that we used to run linking to and from every 24 Hour Trading site.

This sort of bar would be a great way attract attention to our other web properties, or even to promote the RSS / email subscriptions we run on most websites.

During the course of my online investigations (I almost always start new web projects by hunting for similar scripts that I might adapt to fit my needs – open source ones!) I discovered a commercial script which ALMOST does what I want our to do, and would seem an excellent choice for those of you who have email lists that you’d like to promote from a website, or suite of websites: its called Ultimate Footer Ad.

Now I must confess to never having used this script, however, I’ve seen it in action on a number of sites – its highly visible (it always sits just above the browser status bar at the bottom of the screen irrespective of scrolling); and it will definitely work to get more people subscribed to a mailing list: we simply don’t use mailing lists, so have little or no use for this script.

If it sounds like something you could use, click here to check out this script (cost is around $47 for this one).
