Linda’s Article “West Papua Looks To East Timor” – a Follow up
I was busy googling some related searches and have found several reproductions of Linda’s article on West Papua, is it imitation? I’m not sure, but it is surely flattery nonetheless.
- Complete article with a different picture ;
- Reproduction which apparently has its own copyright?
- Another reproduction, which links to the Epoch Times article;
- Translated Article in the Papua Post;
- Link from the Free West Papua site (leader quoted in the article);
One of them has actually added “With Dissent Against Indonesia Growing” to the beginning of the “West Papua Looks To East Timor” headline given by the Epoch Times. A bit cheeky, in my opinion.
It’s interesting to see how articles spread across the globe via the internet, and how little content on many sites is truly unique – I’m not referring to the latter two which are how, I believe, one should reproduce an article, either a snippet with a link, or a translation with permission. Complete reproduction without a web link is not going to help the website or publication who originally published whatsoever.
Some useful words for those of you who do this:
- Target=”_blank”;
- Java – function openpopup… (for a more complete description on how to get a java pop-up onclick window linked to from a text link, drop me a comment and I’ll write it down…)
- nofollow;
Don’t worry, your visitors don’t have to leave your site, and you’ve acknowledged those who’ve produced the work. Amazing.
