Rihanna photo leaked to TMZ

A photograph of Rihanna, the Caribbean singing sensation, who was allegedly beaten by her boyfriend Chris Brown, was leaked yesterday on entertainment website TMZ (see picture, right).

The singer looks pretty badly beaten, which suggests to me that initial reactions to the event were, for once, not overstating the severity of the attack, and make Chris Brown’s unreserved public apologies all the more necessary. Having seen the leaked photograph, however, it is easy to imagine the public will come down hard on Chris Brown – this could well spell the end for the rapper who is after all only 19 years old.

The LAPD are reported to be investigating the leak of this photograph as it appears to be a shot which “has the appearence of” being one taken during an investigation into domestic violence.

Whatever the case may be, the fact this photo has leaked spells serious trouble for Brown’s immediate future: it remains to be seen whether his career will overcome this graphic evidence of his alleged wrongdoing.
