Santa’s Reindeer Spotted in Edinburgh

Santa’s reindeer are in Edinburgh until 24th December after trotting down from the Cairngorms. They were just having some supper before bed when we spotted them and the lead male was eating the lion’s share.

Santa was nearby in an igloo, handing out presents, and some children had got trapped in a snow globe next door.

There is also a Christmas train for families to take a ride on which is adorned with hundreds of lights and beeps at regular intervals. The whole of West Prince’s Street Gardens are much quieter than the noisy Christmas market. It is much more suitable for young children who just want to get into the spirit of Christmas. Head towards the Ferris wheel and you will be faced with thronging crowds, bratwurst and bubbling gluhwein – which is very enjoyable, but much more busy.
