Super Simple Guide to Using WordPress on Your Website – How to Add a LinK
Highlight the word or phrase you wish to link from.
Leaving it highlighted, go to the chain-link button. If you hover over it, it should say “Insert/edit link (Alt+Shift+A)”. Click on this button.
A box will come up into which you enter the full address of the destination page for your link. In the “target” field you can choose whether the destination page will appear on the same window, or a new window (leaving your original article still open for the reader to flip back to). The title will appear when the reader hovers over the blue link. Don’t worry about changing the “class” field.
The link should now be visible on your article as blue underlined text.
To change the link, just click on the linked word, then the linking button. To get rid of the link, click on the linked word and then the broken chain button (located next to the link button).
