I’ve finally started something I have beenthinking about for… most of my life… The Big Project.

I’m writing what I hope will be a manifesto for a better world. The reason for this is quite simple: it isn’t working. By this, I mean, the more I look at society – at people – the more I feel that nothing in the world currently makes any sense at all.

I could list here all of the contradictions which now exist throughout the world, and mention how things are no better after years of ‘progress’, but I’ll leave that to the people who write the “is it just me or is everything shit” or the “the world’s full of airheads (sic)” books. I’ll simply say that I have several problems with the current rise and rise of ‘western ‘democracy”; the overwhelming influence and power that the wealthy have within this savagely capitalist structure; and the most forcefully applied theory, that such a social system is the only way: it is not. Rest assured, my reasoning for this will become clear as the project takes shape.

For now I’ll leave with a plea: as I produce new entries for The Big Project, please respond, whether positively or not. The Big Project should help to raise awareness and change perceptions – it’s success or failure rests in your hands…

Incidentally, I’d certainly welcome suggestions for a title. Preferably without a colon in it, I’m looking for more punch than that (e.g. The Communist Manifesto, The Social Contract, etc etc) – any suggestions would be appreciated.
