The Garden at Bridgewater
It’s Springtime in Bridgewater and our garden has blossomed. Like many other houses in the area, our house also has a log fire. So for the folks back home -this is our current abode.

The whole area is quite Anglofied and the flora reflects this. There is a mixture of native plants and European species. Although this is somewhat damaging for the traditional balance of Australian habitats (the creek especially suffers from non-indigenous trees and is undergoing rehabilitation) it provides local gardens with a wonderful variety of colour and form.
Although it is sunny most days, the evenings can get quite chilly. Australian houses rarely have central heating or substantial walls, so a log fire is essential as well as being incredibly rustic.
