Twitter is Over Capacity
After a few months of experimentation with Micro-Blogging – specifically the microblogging website, Twitter, I still havne’t reached any definitive conclusions regarding the usefulness of the medium. I have, however, reached one very important conclusion: Twitter is Over Capacity.
It seems as though Twitter has become something of a victim of it’s own success: so many people are now yelling about what they’re doing, all at the same time, to a world who, seemingly, cares what they have to say, that the website is often “over capacity” or, in plain English, not working.
Since I joined Twitter after questioning what the point of the microblog was, I have made over 1,000 Tweets to over 150 people who, quite clearly, have nothing better to do than hear them. Having said that, most of my followers on Twitter are ‘Britney Suckers’ and other similar bots, trolls and marketeers, whether automatic or manual, looking to sell services to me.
Don’t they know, I’m from Yorkshire, and I live in Scotland, you’d be better off tweeting: “@stone – you got any spare blood I can borrow?”
In any case, Twitter was over capacity when I started typing this, and now it isn’t – so I’m glad that you, when you found yourself in a similar position, reached for Google, search for “Twitter is over capacity” and ended up here.
Why don’t you subscribe to my RSS feed while you’re here or, if you’re a glutton for punishment, you could even follow my Twitter activity too!
