What’s Wrong With Google Adsense

Google’s Adsense system seems to have gone rather berserk this week.

I thought I’d ride it out, and wait for a resolution, but alas, today things are no better.

The problem is this, when looking at Adsense reports, I see all the total data (e.g. impressions and clicks received etc) but when I click on the “Channels” option, this bears no resemblance to that aggregated data whatsoever (it is massively less than it should be).

As I rely heavily on channels to separate out which website is producing revenue (this is important so that I can pay joint venture partners their fair share of advertising revenue accrued from our joint sites) I find this situation extremely frustrating to say the least.

So far, the only word from Google on the subject can be found here, at their Adsense forum.

They are aware of it, and are working to fix it!

I hope they get all the past three day’s worth of clicks sorted into channels. We’ll see. Otherwise, it may be guestimate time.

If you can suggest a possible reason, or would just like to vent some anger, feel free to use the comments box at the bottom.

  1. I’ve been seeing this issue for three days now. The first day i wrote support, since although my overall revenue was typical, I was concerned about my channels reports. I guess I am somehow glad to see it is everyone — not just me.

  2. Same with me!, its kinda wired, i can see only two of my channels! and i was really worried that google might have disabled my channels!

Good to know that it was a bug!! hope it gets fixed soon! i m testing lots of ad channels!

  3. if they fix it retroactively, it won’t be a big deal
